Tipperary home built in 1813 achieves A-Rating after installation of Ecodan Unit

Located in a rural area of North County Dublin, the complete renovation of this period home included the replacement of an existing 73kW Oil burner for a Mitsubishi Electric Ecodan heating system.
Their was a strong requirement by the customer that the heating system be environmen- tally friendly and be as efficient as possible
The system consists of two 14kW Cascaded Ecodan units which supplies heating for the main house, along with the entire house’ hot water demand. An annex is also heated by a 12kW Ecodan System.
The main house heating system supplies a 300Litre buffer tank at flow temperatures of up to 60°C, ensuring it can meet all the space heating demands.
“We were interested in a renewable form of heating and not having to store solid fuel (wood pellets)”.
An additional Mitsubishi Electric energy monitoring system was installed which allows for watt specific reading for both energy consumed and delivered. The energy monitoring system also gives the homeowner full remote control over the system using their phone, tablet or PC.
“ We do not have to worry about running out of hot water. Our home is the same temperature 24/7 “
